Überblick

 The stationary road weather sensor RoadSMART21 delivers several important road and surface weather conditions. It can be installed with a distance of 2.5 to 5 m above the surface and calculates information about temperatures, waterfilm heights, dew points, road conditions (dry, moist, wet, snow, ice). The data output rate can be set and is as fast 1 Hz via RS485. RoadSMART21 serves as an important decision support tool with regards to preventive gritting. Due to the open interface protocols, it can be easily integrated into existing winter maintenance monitoring networks. The measurement data output supports the protocol UMB binary.
