Strongly recommended: update all OTT Pluvio² rain gauge with a firmware version of V 1.50.0 or V 1.50.1 as soon as possible to version V 1.50.3!
With a firmware version < V 1.50.0 an update at the next scheduled maintenance interval is also advised!
This firmware version is not for OTT Pluvio2 L 200 (RH) and OTT Pluvio2 L 400 (RH) (new device generation)!
For the update use only OTT Pluvio2 operating software version 1.08.1 or higher!
The update is identic for all OTT Pluvio2 versions: OTT Pluvio2 200, OTT Pluvio2 200 RH and OTT Pluvio2 400.
After attaching the USB interface, the OTT Pluvio2 interrupts communication on the other interfaces!
It is mandatory NOT to interrupt the "OTT Pluvio2 <-> PC" -connection during the update!
How to install the update:
If not done so far: install USB interface driver and OTT Pluvio2 operating program on a PC (recommended: notebook).
(For more information see chapter 7.6, section "Preparation" of the OTT Pluvio2 manual.)
Download the file "7002030293_xxxx_pluvio2.bin" to the PC.
The actual update can be carried out on site on an installed OTT Pluvio2:
Unscrew the three knurled screws on the pipe housing.
Remove pipe housing.
Remove cover of USB interface and connect the OTT Pluvio2 to the PC with a USB cable; see OTT Pluvio2 manual, fig. 19.
Start operating program.
Click on "Connect" -> the operating software establishes a connection to the OTT Pluvio2 and calls various status information
Choose "Firmware update" (-> operating software shows the currently installed firmware version)
Click on "Start the firmware update"
Confirm warning with "Yes" -> a window opens where you can choose the new firmware (file "7002030293_xxxx_pluvio2.bin").
Choose the downloaded file and click on "Open" -> the operating program transfers the firmware into the OTT Pluvio2. (After the update OTT Pluvio2 will start the new firmware and resumes automatic operation.)
This firmware version is only suitable for the EU-Version (with CE marking) of the OTT SVR 100 (order number: 63.151.003.9.0)!
The firmware update can only be performed for devices with a serial number higher than "SVR1-000232" (production date as of July 2020)!
The "OTT SVR 100 Operating Program" is required for a firmware update.*

How to install the update:
If not already done: Install the "OTT SVR 100 Operating Program" (administrator rights required).
Download the file "OTT-SVR100-x.x.x-EU.fwi" to the PC.
Connect the OTT SVR 100 to the PC.
Connect the OTT SVR 100 to the (temporary) power supply.
Start the OTT SVR 100 Operating Program.
Establish a communication link between the OTT SVR 100 Operating Program and the OTT SVR 100.
Run the firmware update.

From version 1.45 the firmware of the precipitation gauges OTT WAD 200 and OTT WAD 314 is integrated in the configuration software "OTT WAD Commander".

The "OTT Water Logger Operating Program" needed for this firmware is V 1.66.0 or newer!
Please note: This firmware version is only suitable for devices that were produced after 10/06/2015! Run the update only on an OTT CTD with a serial number from 363766!
How to install the update:
Download the file "OTT_CTD_V2.00.0.BIN" to your PC.
Proceed with the update of OTT CTD Firmware as described in the OTT CTD manual (chapter 15).

How to install and use the software: Configuration software OTT WAD Commander
Optional: If you want to install the configuration software for all users of this PC: Start your PC with administrator rights! (Otherwise, the installation is only performed for the explicitly logged on user; the installation wizard asks for the user group during the installation).
Download the file "Setup_OTT_WAD_Cmd.exe" to your PC.
If the OTT WAD Commander configuration software has already been started: Close the software.
Start the file "Setup_OTT_WAD_Cmd.exe" -> the "OTT_WAD_Cmd Setup" installation wizzard opens.
Optional: select the desired language of the user interface of the installation wizard (German or English).
Follow the installation instructions on the screen.
Firmware OTT WAD 200/314
The OTT WAD Commander automatically checks whether the firmware is up to date after establishing a connection to the OTT WAD 200/314 and requests a firmware update if necessary.
Update the OTT WAD 200 firmware as described in the OTT WAD 200 operating instructions (chapter 7).
Please note:
The OTT WAD Commander requires a USB-interface driver to install the communication connection with the OTT WAD 200/314. The operating system Microsoft Windows 10 usually installs the required USB-interface driver automatically when the communication is established for the first time. Alternatively, if needed, you may download the USB interface driver as well (www.ott.com/resources) and install it manually on your PC (administrator privileges required)!
The user surface of the OTT WAD Commander is available in German and English language (can be set after the software start).
Download the file "OTT_MF_pro_208_Firmware_Update.zip" to your PC.
Unzip this file.
If not already done: install the "PVM Utility" (Software for updating the OTT MF pro):
Start the file "setup.exe" in the directory "PVMSetup_1-6-0-0" -> the "InstallShield Wizard" (Installation program) opens.
Follow the installation instructions on the screen.
How to update the OTT MF pro Firmware to Version 2.08:
Switch on the OTT MF prohandheld and choose the "Setup" | "USB" menu.
Select the USB mode "CDC" and confirm with "OK".
Start the PVM Utility by double-clicking the program icon.
Connect the operating device and the PC with the USB connection cable.
Click on "Connect" and then select the COM port used. After the connection has been established, the PVM Utility displays information about the OTT MF pro (serial number, etc.).
Click on "Firmware update" in the "Views" window.
In the "Meter" tab, click on "Browse" and select the "Firmware" directory (in "OTT MF pro 2.08 Update").
Then select version 2.08 from the drop-down menu and click "Start" -> the update will start. During the update the display of the OTT MF pro is switched off. After successful completion a message appears on the PC screen, the OTT MF pro is automatically reset and restarted after a few minutes.
Please note:
To install the PVM Utility you need administrator rights on the PC!
The PVM Utility is only available with an English user interface!
