How does Version V 2.70.0 differ from the previous version?

    User interface in Russian language available
    LogFiles can now be downloaded partially
    Various optimisations and bugfixes

How to install the update:

Download the file "setup.exe" to your PC.
If the Hydras 3 LT application software is still running: quit the program.
Start the file "setup.exe" -> the "InstallShield Wizard" opens.
Follow the installation instructions on the screen. Please use the existing installation path of Hydras 3 LT! Change preset installation path if necessary!

Please note

To preserve existing configurations, e.g. "workspaces", please check strictly the preset installation path during the update!
Preset installation path: "C:\Program Files\OTT\Hydras3LT"; at prior installations: "C:\Program Files\Hydras3LT"!

Please note: Strongly recommended: update all OTT Pluvio² rain gauge with a firmware version of V 1.50.0 or V 1.50.1 as soon as possible to version V 1.50.3! With a firmware version < V 1.50.0 an update at the next scheduled maintenance interval is also advised! This firmware version is not for OTT Pluvio² L 200 (RH) and OTT Pluvio² L 400 (RH) (new device generation)! For the update use only OTT Pluvio² operating software version 1.08.1 or higher! The update is identic for all OTT Pluvio² versions: OTT Pluvio² 200, OTT Pluvio² 200 RH and OTT Pluvio² 400. After attaching the USB interface, the OTT Pluvio² interrupts communication on the other interfaces! It is mandatory NOT to interrupt the "OTT Pluvio² <-> PC" -connection during the update! How to install the update: If not done so far: install USB interface driver and OTT Pluvio² operating program on a PC (recommended: notebook). (For more information see chapter 7.6, section "Preparation" of the OTT Pluvio² manual.) Download the file "7002030293_xxxx_pluvio2.bin" to the PC. The actual update can be carried out on site on an installed OTT Pluvio²: Unscrew the three knurled screws on the pipe housing. Remove pipe housing. Remove cover of USB interface and connect the OTT Pluvio² to the PC with a USB cable; see OTT Pluvio² manual, fig. 19. Start operating program. Click on "Connect" -> the operating software establishes a connection to the OTT Pluvio² and calls various status information Choose "Firmware update" (-> operating software shows the currently installed firmware version) Click on "Start the firmware update" Confirm warning with "Yes" -> a window opens where you can choose the new firmware (file "7002030293_xxxx_pluvio2.bin"). Choose the downloaded file and click on "Open" -> the operating program transfers the firmware into the OTT Pluvio². (After the update OTT Pluvio² will start the new firmware and resumes automatic operation.) Quit operating program. Remove USB cable. Replace the cover for the USB interface. Empty the collecting bucket if necessary. Align and replace the pipe housing. Tighten the three knurled screws again.

This firmware version is not suitable for OTT Pluvio² 200 (RH) and OTT Pluvio² 400 (RH) (former generation of devices)! Use only the OTT Pluvio² operating software version 1.08.1 or higher for the update! The update is identic for all Pluvio²S versions (OTT Pluvio²S 200, OTT Pluvio²S 200 RH) After attaching the USB interface, the OTT Pluvio²L/S interrupts communication on the other interfaces! It is mandatory NOT to interrupt the " OTT Pluvio²L/S <-> PC"-connection during the update! How to install the update: If not done so far: install USB interface driver and OTT Pluvio² operating program on a PC (recommended: notebook). (For more information see chapter 7.6, section "Preparation" of the OTT Pluvio² S manual.) Download the file "7003030293_Vxxxx_Pluvio2_L_S.bin" to the PC. The actual update can be carried out on site on an installed OTT Pluvio² S: Unscrew the three knurled screws on the pipe housing. Remove pipe housing. Remove cover of USB interface and connect the OTT Pluvio² S to the PC with a USB cable; see OTT Pluvio² S manual, fig. 23. Start operating program. Click on "Connect" -> the operating software establishes a connection to the OTT Pluvio² S and calls various status information Choose "Firmware update" (-> operating software shows the currently installed firmware version) Click on "Start the firmware update" Confirm warning with "Yes" -> a window opens where you can choose the new firmware (file "7003030293_Vxxxx_Pluvio2_L_S.bin). Choose the downloaded file and click on "Open" -> the operating program transfers the firmware into the OTT Pluvio² S. (After the update OTT Pluvio²S will start the new firmware and resumes automatic operation.) Quit operating program. Remove USB cable. Replace the cover for the USB interface. Empty the collecting bucket if necessary. Align and replace the pipe housing. Tighten the three knurled screws again.

How to install the update: Download the file "Hydras3 LT Pocket.CAB" to your PC. If Hydras 3 LT Pocket is still running: close the software (to hide it in the background is not sufficient!) Start Windows Mobile Device Center on the PC. Set up a new partnership (guest partnership) between the PocketPC and the PC (e.g. via a USB line connection or infrared connection). Copy the file "Hydras3 LT Pocket.CAB" to the Pocket PC in the "Temp" directory (not in the program directory!). Start file "Hydras3 LT Pocket.CAB? on the Pocket PC. The Pocket PC will now update Hydras 3 LT Pocket in the program directory (confirm message "Already installed" with O.K.). Please note: After an update no renewed input of the license key is necessary. Hydras 3 Pocket automatically sets the language of the user interface upon installation to the language of the Pocket PC?s operating system. How to install and use the software: Configuration software OTT WAD Commander Optional: If you want to install the configuration software for all users of this PC: Start your PC with administrator rights! (Otherwise, the installation is only performed for the explicitly logged on user; the installation wizard asks for the user group during the installation). Download the file "Setup_OTT_WAD_Cmd.exe" to your PC. If the OTT WAD Commander configuration software has already been started: Close the software. Start the file "Setup_OTT_WAD_Cmd.exe" -> the "OTT_WAD_Cmd Setup" installation wizzard opens. Optional: select the desired language of the user interface of the installation wizard (German or English). Follow the installation instructions on the screen. Firmware OTT WAD 200/314 The OTT WAD Commander automatically checks whether the firmware is up to date after establishing a connection to the OTT WAD 200/314 and requests a firmware update if necessary. Update the OTT WAD 200 firmware as described in the OTT WAD 200 operating instructions (chapter 7). Please note: The OTT WAD Commander requires a USB-interface driver to install the communication connection with the OTT WAD 200/314. The operating system Microsoft Windows 10 usually installs the required USB-interface driver automatically when the communication is established for the first time. Alternatively, if needed, you may download the USB interface driver as well (www.ott.com/resources) and install it manually on your PC (administrator privileges required)! The user surface of the OTT WAD Commander is available in German and English language (can be set after the software start).

Prepare update: Download the file "OTT_MF_pro_208_Firmware_Update.zip" to your PC. Unzip this file. If not already done: install the "PVM Utility" (Software for updating the OTT MF pro): Start the file "setup.exe" in the directory "PVMSetup_1-6-0-0" -> the "InstallShield Wizard" (Installation program) opens. Follow the installation instructions on the screen. How to update the OTT MF pro Firmware to Version 2.08: Switch on the OTT MF prohandheld and choose the "Setup" \| "USB" menu. Select the USB mode "CDC" and confirm with "OK". Start the PVM Utility by double-clicking the program icon. Connect the operating device and the PC with the USB connection cable. Click on "Connect" and then select the COM port used. After the connection has been established, the PVM Utility displays information about the OTT MF pro (serial number, etc.). Click on "Firmware update" in the "Views" window. In the "Meter" tab, click on "Browse" and select the "Firmware" directory (in "OTT MF pro 2.08 Update"). Then select version 2.08 from the drop-down menu and click "Start" -> the update will start. During the update the display of the OTT MF pro is switched off. After successful completion a message appears on the PC screen, the OTT MF pro is automatically reset and restarted after a few minutes. Please note: To install the PVM Utility you need administrator rights on the PC! The PVM Utility is only available with an English user interface! This description differs slightly from the description in the OTT MF pro manual. Please proceed as described here!

The "OTT Z400 Application Software" is stored on the removable storage device (comparable to a USB-Memory-Stick) of the counter OTT Z400; file: "Z400.exe". To make an update this file has to be exchanged. How to install the Update: Download the new version of the file "Z400.exe" to your PC. Remove the yellow rubber cover on the back of the OTT Z400. Connect the USB-connecting cable to the OTT Z400 (see fig.5 in the OTT Z400 operating instructions). Connect the USB-connecting cable to a USB-interface of your PC. Start the Z400: press the "Start/Stop" key -> the PC recognizes the OTT Z400 as external storage device (when the unit is connected for the first time, the PC installs the USB interface driver first). Copy the new version of the "Z400.exe" file onto the storage device. This replaces the old version. Disconnect the USB device from the PC by using the function "Safely Remove Hardware" of the PC. Remove the USB connecting cable -> the OTT Z400 automatically switches off. Put the yellow rubber cover back into place. Notes The update is possible from any previous version. On the removable storage device of the counter there is an online-help file in various languages (Z400_xx.chm) and two configuration files ("Configuration.ini" and "Z400-Configuration.txt"). These configuration files may not be deleted, neither may the content be changed! Otherwise the counter will become unusable! More information on the use of the counter is provided in the operating instructions of the OTT Z400.

How to install the update: If you haven't done this yet: install ActiveSync on your PC (comes with the OTT Qliner Software CD-ROM). If your former version of Qliner PDA Software is open: quit the program ("File" -> "Exit" -> OK). Download the file "QlinerInstall_EN.CAB" to your PC. Start ActiveSync. Connect the PDA with the PC via USB cable (comes with the Qliner). Build up a guest partnership between PDA and PC. Copy the file "QlinerInstall_EN.CAB" to the PDA into the directory "Temp" (click for this purpose on "Browse"). Delete the file "pdcommxce.ocx" in the directory "Windows" on the PDA. (This prevents potential connection problems during installation.) Close ActiveSync. Disconnect the PDA and the PC. Open the file "QlinerInstall_EN.CAB" in the directory "Temp" on the PDA. Confirm the message that the Qliner PDA Software is already installed: tap on OK. The software installation starts automatically on the PDA. Now your new version of Qliner PDA software is ready to use as described in the operating instructions. Please note All readings stored on the PDA are saved. The language file of the Qliner user interface is updated as well. During the update you might be asked if files called "MFCxxx.DLL" should be replaced. Tap on "Yes" if you have a prior version. During the update some old PDAs show a warning message, that a file called "mfcxxx.dll" is already loaded and cannot be replaced. Answer "No" if you are asked if you want to try again. The installation continues. Consider also the Qliner operating instructions.
