Inclined staff gauge of sheet steel or cast aluminium OTT Staff gauges get a graduation according to the decline 'n“ of the embankment. The length of the staff gauge results from the relation L = h * ( 1 + 1/n²) ½ n: Decline n= tan (angle of decline of embankment) h: the actual water level.
