|
The pressure probe OTT PS 1 is used for precise measurement of water level of ground- and surface water.
The probe measures pressure and temperature values. By compensation of temperature effects, the relative density of water and the specific gravitation at the particular measuring site, highly precise and repeatable actual water levels are being measured. The measurement result can be displayed in analogue or digital form.
The piezo-resistive relative pressure transducer is linked to a micro-processor which takes over various tasks in signal processing and calculation.
As output signal a serial SDI-12 or a programmable 4...20 mA interface is available to which a certain signal range can be allocated. So the desired measurement working range can be displayed better as analogue value in the right resolution.
Additionally to the water level, also the water temperature is available via the serial SDI-12 interface.
The pressure probe can be exposed to a pressure 10 times as high as the measuring range, without risking any permanent mechanical damage of the sensor. The sensor housing is laser-welded and thus hermetically sealed against penetration of water. |
