The OTT MF Pro is an electromagnetic current meter for cost-efficient in-stream discharge measurement. The low maintenance, mobile system is easy to use. It consists of a compact and light-weight sensor and a robust handheld unit. Both system components are designed to be attached to conventional wading rods.
As with conventional current meters, the sensor is guided through the measurement cross-section using the rod. Step by step instructions direct the user through the flow profiling process. Velocity data are graphed in real-time, allowing trends to be visualized quickly. And with the ability to log velocity and entered depth information within the meter, field time is cut in half.
At the end of the measurement, the software uses the data recorded to calculate the total discharge according to ISO-/USGS-Standards.
