The new OTT ecoLog 800 provides conductivity data

OTT Hydromet introduces a new compact groundwater monitoring system with integrated remote data transfer to the market: The OTT ecoLog 800 measures the conductivity of the water in addition to the water level and temperature, and provides derived values for salinity and TDS. As a result, it is predestined for stations with potential pollution or salt water intrusion.
Consistent, error-free data and minimal time spent at the station are the most important requests from users that have flowed into the product design of the new OTT ecoLog. The automatic remote data transfer by GSM/GPRS alone saves valuable working time. Furthermore, the system is characterized by low downtime. Completely integrated into an observation well or wellhead shaft, it is securely protected against vandalism. Battery lifetimes of up to 10 years, high-quality, robust components, as well as status and warning messages for remote diagnosis guarantee long service intervals.
The OTT ecoLog 800 is equipped with high-quality measurement sensorics. These include the ceramic capacitive pressure cell providing long-term stability and the 4-electrode conductivity measuring cell. This is fitted with graphite electrodes, which makes it resistant to contamination and practically excludes measuring errors caused by polarization effects.
All measured values are saved in the 4 MB datalogger and automatically sent at the specified time interval or as an alarm message. Whether as text message, by e-mail, HTTP or FTP – the routes for the remote transfer are flexible. Replaceable components, such as batteries or SIM cards, are easily accessible, in the same way that the infrared interface simplifies the connection of a laptop for local communication. As a result, the time required for setup and maintenance is kept to a minimum.
